Well I’ve been thinking of building a 3-D printer for some time now. So last weekend 2/14/2014 was researching what was available and decided to build the ORD BOT HADRON 3-D printer and went ahead and start ordering parts. Mechanical platform Kit from Automation Technology www.automationtechnologiesinc.com. This includes all the bits and pieces to make this.
From there after little more research I found myself at Panucatt Devices http://www.panucatt.com . For their Azteeg X3 PRO 3D printer Controller.
Also (5) SureStepr Stepper Drivers
And ViKi LCD – Control Panel Interface
Finely Helios 200 Heat Bed kit 200 x 200 mm.
Then on to SeeMe CNC 3D Printers & More www.seemecnc.com for EZStruder Cold End Kit and SeeMeCNC Direct Drive 1.75mm Hot End with .5mm nozzle.
Then I stoped by eBay to pick up Borofloat Glass Print Bed.
And a roll of High Temperature Resistant BGA Kapton Tape.
Then off to Amazon for the Power Supply 12v 30a Dc Regulated Switching 360w.
And Some Octave 1.75mm ABS Filament in Red, White, Blue, Yellow and Black.
That’s about it for now as the bits and pieces start showing up will try to keep you updated on my progress. Though I’ve never tried to do anything like this before I always wanted to. Very excited to get started anyway until next time have fun!
